Why Sunrise?

For starters, there is just something magical about welcoming the day at first light. No matter how many sunrises one has seen, the peace and serenity of a sunrise never disappoints.

 

The early morning light is also soft and lovely and lends itself well to beautiful portraiture. It tends to be cooler, giving rise to more pink and blue hues rather than the yellow and orange tones common during sunset. The temperature of the air is cooler as well, rendering a much more comfortable client experience. And of course, there are far fewer people out and about at sunrise, thereby eliminating many of the constraints frequently experienced during popular but often crowded sunset hours. It has been my observation that these attributes set sunrise apart, and generally give way to a more positive and relaxed photo session.
